Maailman suosituin drum&bass–artisti Pendulum saapuu ensimmäistä kertaa Suomeen lauantaina 16.6. Helsingin Studio 51:een. Luvassa on perinteinen keikkakokoonpano, eli brittiläisen MC Versen tukema DJ-setti.

16.6. PENDULUM (AU)

Pendulum was formed in mid-2002 by three people from Australia with similar visions and musical backgrounds. Their mission was to pool together their production resources, ideas and influences from other styles of music to create a new sound they felt was missing from drum and bass. The initial result of this collaboration, 'Vault' went on to become one of the biggest anthems of 2003.

The Pendulum sound gained so much attention that they were asked to join the recently formed Breakbeat Kaos and form a tight crew of like minded musicians. In their first years of existance, Pendulum has already smashed dancefloors globally, and their DJ sets are a reflection of the freshest drum and bass music being produced today. Their selection is diverse and energetic, covering all angles of the drum and bass genre with an emphasis on future sounds.

MC VERSE (UK)

MC Verse's career in Drum and Bass started in 1996. Based in Leeds, his musical influences come from the broad spectrums of music today, hip-hop through to acid jazz, funk and dub. His MCing style is original and unique and he has the ability to read and analyse a set, complementing the music without stressing it and working up the crowd whatever language they may speak.
